The CFC Tool

The Care Funding Calculator (CFC) is tool developed by iESE that helps provide transparency in negotiations between care commissioners and care providers to ensure placements meet an individual's needs whilst providing value for money at a fair price.

The tool is used for specialist care placements for people with additional needs, whether this is a learning disability, physical disability or mental health issue. It is already used by many local authorities and care providers who find it useful to their organisation.

CFC Online

The Care Funding Calculator (CFC Online) is a negotiation tool that provides a consistent method of determining care needs and aligning those to an appropriate cost based on the best market-data available. Used for both residential care and supported living, CFC allows you to assess the level of care and support an individual needs whilst ensuring the price paid is fair and based on current market knowledge. It assists the cost negotiation process by providing a neutral starting point, which is shared by both the council and provider.

CFC Online is accessed through a secure website – there is no software to download or complicated ICT integration required. CFC Online offers your organisation the following features:

· CFC document management and personalised account
· Innovative copying and sharing of CFCs
· Simpler, clearer needs assessment
· Expression of interest functionality

A subscription entitles an organisation to 10 logins managed through a personal dashboard and bespoke training can also be arranged via iESE.
