Job Description

At iESE we are a small friendly team, our passion is to improve the delivery of local public services. Our flagship digital product CareCubed is a cloud-based system used by more than 70 organisations across the UK. We are seeking a UK-wide home based Junior UX Designer to work on the ongoing improvement of the customer experience. You will be responsible for designing new and enhanced digital products.

This role requires a candidate with excellent research, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to work across multi-disciplinary teams to increase the effectiveness and responsiveness of our customer processes across our product portfolio.

Whilst experience in a similar role is not required, we are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual who is comfortable adopting new technologies and approaches. An understanding of project management and design methodologies is advantageous.

 

Core Objectives of this Role

  • Provide support to Head of Design in delivering projects:
    • o Research relevant areas of interest.

      o Conduct user research and usability studies to collaborate with designers, developers and marketeers to validate solutions.

      o Assist in the delivery of Customer consultations & forums to support product development and market research.

      o Use Human Centred Design methods to engage key stakeholders and understand needs / expectations.

      o Input into the product development process, including preparing specifications, prototypes and testing.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Support the CareCubed team, monitoring mailboxes & overseeing development request and customer contact processes.
    • Provide technical support as required to CareCubed trainers and iESE consultants.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of operational guidelines.

     

     

     

    Who are we looking for?

    Are you a motivated and creative self-starter, who likes talking to people and wants to work with a broad range of professionals? Do you consider yourself to be enthusiastic, good at managing your time and have a can-do attitude?

    We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual who has a great eye for detail. Whilst a digital background is not strictly essential, it would be great if you had some previous experience in a related area and you must be comfortable adopting new technologies and approaches.

    Skills and Experience

    • Good research, analytical skills & ability to present data simply and accurately
    • Demonstrable communication skills
    • Enthusiam to work to tight deadlines and multi task when required
    • Comfortable working within a tech environment to offer first line support to users/ team
    • Knowledge of agile project management & user centred design methods is desirable
    • Passionate about delivering innovative solutions to advance the improvement and or efficiency of local public services
